Murfreesboro's SOCIAL DISTANCING Fireworks Tonight!

(MURFREESBORO)  Murfreesboro's 2020 Independence Day fireworks show has moved to the Gateway Area near Medical Center Parkway. This year high altitude fireworks will be used, and you can enjoy them over a wide area.

No Sound System (must tune to radio 7:00-9:30PM)

ADVERTISEMENT

There will not be any PA sound system, to hear the guests and fireworks set to music.  You will need to tune-in WGNS (AM 1450, FM 100.5, FM 101.9 and www.WGNSradio.com. That broadcast begins at 7:00PM and the fireworks countdown is at 9:00PM tonight (7/4/2020).

For Public Safety

Since the fireworks will be detonated near the new Murfreesboro Fire Hall #4, for the public's safety--Medical Center Parkway will be closed to traffic between West College Street and Gateway Boulevard.

Families are encouraged to bring picnic baskets, lawn chairs, and blankets to view the show; however “please be respectful of the business where you’re parking,” said Rachel Singer, MPRD Assistant Director and event organizer, “and remember to pick up any trash you may have.”
