That was schools spokesperson James Evans. Feedback from parents will be presented to the county school board at their July 21st meeting, which is when the decision for or against students and staff wearing masks will be made.

Masks have already been recommended by the committee that studied reopening options. The School Board will make a final determination at its July 21 meeting.

Rutherford County Schools are moving forward with a traditional school year starting in August (reopening information here). Parents will also have a choice to select a distance-learning option, according to the reopening plan adopted by the Rutherford County Board of Education during its July 9th meeting.
