Voting during the COVID-19 Pandemic is being discussed right now.
On June 4, a lower court ruled the state must make absentee voting available to every eligible voter for all elections in 2020, including the August 6 primary and November 3 general election. The state appealed.
The Tennessee Supreme Court will hear arguments in a lawsuit seeking to make absentee voting available to all eligible Tennessee voters during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Attorneys for the American Civil Liberties Union, ACLU of Tennessee, and Dechert LLP filed the lawsuit and will present arguments remotely to the Tennessee Supreme Court in Nashville.
Arguments will be heard on Thursday, July 30, at 10:30 a.m. (Central time)
