MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Water Resources Operations and Maintenance started working on a water and/or sewer line replacement Monday (8/24/20) morning in Murfreesboro. The construction is in the N. Highland neighborhood and traffic will be closed in a small area during the water line improvements.

Micky Williams, foreman of heavy construction for the Water Resources Department, tells more about the project...

Assistant City Manager Darren Gore stated, “The improvements will be constructed block-by-block, restricting traffic flow in designated areas other than for residents who live in the areas impacted.” Gore went on to say, “Crews will allow residents access to drive-ways during the three-to-four-week construction for each block section, weather-permitting. This will be a rolling road closure, so crews will work to limit the impact on traffic flow as they move from block to block.”
