UPDATE: Rutherford County Woman Arrested for Nashville Vehicular Homicide

UPDATE: Metro Nashville Police fatal crash investigators have now located and charged Derrica J. Johnson of La Vergne, TN with vehicular homicide.

The 29-year old woman was wanted in connection with a March 21st (2020) deadly crash on Haywood Lane in Nashville that killed a rear seat passenger in her Chevrolet Impala.

Johnson was alleged to be the front seat passenger as 25-year old Robert McMutuary drove her car with a blood alcohol level of more than three times the legal limit.

Metro Police say the Impala crossed over the double yellow line on Haywood Lane and crashed into a Nissan Altima. 62-year old Edward Wilkins Jr. was riding in the back seat of the Impala. He was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene.

McMutuary who was the reported driver of Johnson's Impala is already jailed on a charge of vehicular homicide by intoxication. He also faces multiple counts of vehicular assault. The two occupants in the Altima that was struck by the Impala were not hurt critically.

Again, Derrica J. Johnson of Rutherford County has been arrested in connection to a vehicular homicide that happened in Nashville on March 21st. Her bond has been set at $271,000.
