We have a follow up to the airplane crash that occurred on Thursday at the Murfreesboro Airport. A police report released on Friday shows the Cessna 172 crashed after landing around 8AM. 49-Year old Randall Ray was trapped in the airplane and had to be extricated by the fire department. After being freed, Ray was flown by LifeFlight helicopter to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville.

The plane was a 1981 Cesna 172 P-Model owned by Jim Gardner that was leased to Murfreesboro Aviation. The total loss was valued at $45,000.
