Local Ford Dealer Helps Foster Children
The spirit of Christmas is alive and well at Ford of Murfreesboro. For the past decade, this local businesses has collected gifts for foster children. This year the Department of Human Services has over 400 children in foster care here in Rutheford County.
Ford of Murfreesboro Owner-General Manager David Lee said, "We had customers and strangers bring boxes and bags full of toys for them. More gifts were collected this year than ever. Plus, our employees were very generous."
F-150 Filled With Toys
Ford of Murfreesboro collected the gifts in the new car showroom and filled to overflowing the bed of a bright red new Ford F150.
Kids with no parents or family to take care of them for whatever reason during this time of the year. Ages of the children are from birth to age 18. We collected clothing, toys, books, games and toiletries- anything for these kids was appreciated. Each year volunteers put together Christmas for all these children as well as at-risk kids so that they all have a merrier Christmas.
Ford of Murfreesboro has been helping to provide gifts for Rutherford County’s foster children since 2002.
