Groups Start Meeting Again

(MURFREESBORO)  After months of quarantine groups are gradually returning to gatherings that have social distancing and certain times to wear facial covers. The Murfreesboro Rotary Club held its first in-person gathering Tuesday at noon, and approximately 30-persons attended along with another group of similar size viewing on Zoom.

Oaklands Mansion Executive Director James Manning was the guest speaker. He told about Oktoberfest on Saturday, September 26, 2020, from 3:00 to 7:00PM in the evening.

Again, tickets are limited and available only on line. 

One of the major parts of Oakland plantation's history was the slave population. That group is in the process of doing an extensive historical investigation into their lives.

Murfreesboro Rotary

The Murfreesboro Rotary Club celebrated its 100th anniversary last October. It meets at noon on Tuesdays in the ballroom at the Stones River Country Club.
