(La VERGNE)  Saturday’s (10/17/2020) mild fall weather brought out a crowd in excess of 2,500 to La Vergne’s annual Old Timers Festival at Veterans Memorial Park on Floyd Mayfield Drive. Congratulations to Parade Grand Marshal Dr. Theowauna Hatchett, principal at La Vergne High School. 

It started with a parade through the heart of La Vergne--ending at the Veterans Memorial Park with plenty of live music, food and craft vendors, and a car show. 

The Old Timers Festival, once known as the Old Timers Days, began under La Vergne Mayor Vester Waldron in 1977 and has grown to what we see today. The event is an amazing blend of old traditions mixed with new ones.
