(MURFREESBORO) Reports from the Rutherford County School system shows that COVID-19 cases among students and faculty at Rocky Fork Elementary School are on the increase. All students move to distance learning starting Monday (11/9/2020) and continue through Tuesday, November 17, 2020.
Rutherford County Schools Communications Director James Evans told WGNS News that as it now stands, in-person classes will return on Wednesday November 18th.
Evans explained, "The school is experiencing an increased number of students and staff members who are on quarantine. So the school is going on quarantine to allow time for get well and not spread more COVID-19 germs. The campus will also be thoroughly cleaned while closed."
The administrative staff at Rocky Fork Elementary will follow-up directly to parents about logistics concerning distance learning.
Evans concluded, "We know this is an inconvenience for some parents, but we have no other options because of the circumstances."
Again, all classes at Rocky Fork Elementary School will go to distance learning starting this coming Monday (11/9/2020).
