Rutherford County Virtual School is NOT Related to COVID-19 - Enrollment Open Now thru Evening of Nov. 24th

The Rutherford County School system has a new “Virtual School” that started earlier this year. The school is for students in 6th grade through 12th grade.

With COVID-19 and Distance Learning taking place, there has been some confusion as to if the Virtual School is related to Distance Learning. Rutherford County Virtual School principal Dr. Jessica Supakhan said that the two are totally unrelated.

Virtual School was created prior to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Right now, about 100 students are participating with 45 to 50 more students already enrolled to start their next semester at the new Virtual School in 2021.

You can enroll your children in the new Rutherford County Virtual School now through Tuesday evening (11/24/2020).

Again, the Rutherford County Virtual School is not tied to Distance Learning and it is a stand alone school.
