RUTHERFORD COUNTY SCHOOLS: The Rutherford County School system was closed throughout the entire week of Thanksgiving and will re-open Monday with what has been labeled as a “Distance Learning Flex Day.”

That was county school’s spokesperson James Evans. Students will return to in-classroom learning throughout Rutherford County on Tuesday, December 1, 2020.

The schools used two inclement weather days during Thanksgiving week to keep students and teachers out of the classroom, due to the rising number of COVID cases and the number of students and staff members on quarantine.

Again, Monday, Nov. 30, is a distance-learning flex day, which means all students will attend school virtually or work from home on assignments and return to the classroom on Tuesday, December 1, 2020.

WINTER BREAK: Rutherford County Schools will wrap up their first semester on Friday, Dec. 18th with one final full day of instruction. On Monday, Dec. 21st, schools will be closed for Winter Break and then re-open on Tuesday, Jan. 5th. Rutherford County Schools are closed on Monday, Jan. 4th and that day is listed as an "In Service" day, which means no school for students.
