Special Kids and Other Non-Profits Benefit on Giving Tuesday

It is hard to believe what can take place for the good in as little as 24-hours.

During this year's Giving Tuesday campaign that took place earlier this week, non-profits throughout Rutherford County benefited thanks to the generosity of our community. Non-profits like Read To Succeed, Habitat for Humanity and Special Kids all received funds donated to them by local residents.

Special Kids for example, exceeded their $8,000 one-day fundraising goal for the 2020 Special Kids Hope Drive and nearly quadrupled their target for more than $30,000 in contributions in just ONE day!

The organization that helps medically fragile children reported, “This is an amazing accomplishment to say the least and a wonderful testament to YOUR generosity, the collective power of a community that surrounds our campus, and the ultimate provision of our God! THANK YOU for believing in Special Kids! Every single dollar of our Hope Drive campaign will go toward helping our families - benefitting the past, present and future stories of Special Kids!”

The gifts given to Special Kids were doubled as supporter John D. Floyd matched all donations up to $200,000.

The Special Kids Hope Drive ends on Thursday, December 31.
