Polar Bear Plunge

Yes, there will be a Polar Bear Plunge! It will be at 10:00AM on Saturday morning, January 9, 2021 in the outdoor pool at SportsCom, Dejarnette Lane at Memorial Boulevard.

Murfreesboro Parks' Melinda Tate confirmed, "Yes, there will be a Polar Bear Plunge, however, it will be just the plunge without the before and after gatherings in the gym."

She noted that the admission will be a can of non-perishable food that will be given to Greenhouse Ministries.

SportsCom Superintendent Bart Fite stressed, "This year the indoor gym will be closed before, during and after the event. Plan accordingly and bring towels and blankets for the ride home!"

New Years Day Run

Tate noted, "There will not be a New Years Day 5k this year due to the coronavirus surge."
