Monday Is MLK, Jr. Day...NAACP President on WGNS' Action Line (8:10-9:00AM)

(MURFREESBORO)  Monday is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, and with the pandemic, it will be observed differently. Murfreesboro's NAACP President Katie Wilson will be on WGNS Monday morning (8:10-9:00AM) to answer any questions from the public. Phone WGNS at 615-893-1450 during the broadcast if you have questions.

The 17th Annual MLK, Jr. March from Central Magnet School to the Patterson Center will be a "virtual march" this year, so don't meet at the high school. In addition, Bradley Academy History and Cultural Arts Center is offering a free virtual MLK, Jr. exhibit through April 3, 2021

Most Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation facilities will be closed, except the Patterson Center where volunteers will be sorting items for the City School's Backpack Program. Also, an MLK, Jr. Blood Drive will take place there. NO WALK-INS, blood donors by appointment only due to CDC guidelines. Make appointment at www.RedCrossBlood.org.

The St. Clair Senior Center is closed, Adams Tennis Complex is closed, but the city golf courses are open.

 

Banks and government offices are closed Monday (1/18/2021), in addition Rover buses will operate on Monday, MLK, Jr. Day.
