Major Gun Theft of Over 40 Guns in Franklin, TN

Just over the county line in nearby Williamson County, the Franklin Gun Shop was broken into and some 41 firearms stolen. The burglary occurred on January 28, 2021. The Lakeview Drive gun dealer reported the crime to the Franklin Police Department.

Because the store had a federal firearms license, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives responded to the scene with Franklin Police. Now, the ATF is offering a reward of up to $2,500 for information that leads to the arrest of the person or persons who are responsible for the crime.

In conjunction with the ATF reward, the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) is matching the funds for a total reward of up to $5,000.

ATF Special Agent in Charge, Mickey French said, “ATF works closely with members of the firearms industry to curb the criminal acquisition and misuse of firearms. ATF’s Crime Gun Intelligence will leverage investigative resources combined with community partnerships to recover the stolen firearms.”
