(MURFREESBORO) City Council Member Kirt Wade said that the council is looking at what should be done with the money received from the sale of Murfreesboro Electric Department.

In fact, Councilman Wade stressed several times that there were no plans to sell Murfreesboro Water Department or to transfer the elementary school system to the county.
Back to use of funds from the sale of MED, the council addressed that issue for much of the time Wednesday (2/10/2021) during a workshop at the Murfreesboro Airport, Reports indicate they plan to continue discussions until an agreement can be reached.
