(MURFREESBORO) Emergency responders are having fun in the snow with area youth.
Amid laughter and sometimes sliding, a snowball fight broke out on the historic Murfreesboro square between Murfreesboro firefighters and police officers. Before you knew it, area kids joined-in on the fun.
The fun was not limited to the Murfreesboro square. Rutherford County Sheriff's Deputy James Elliott is a life-long ice hockey player. He noticed a 16-year old knocking a hockey puck around his frozen driveway.
The teen's father said, “He was extremely nice and made my son so happy. I just wanted to try and let him know how much we appreciated everything.”
This is still more proof that the Heart of Tennessee is truly a unique and special place to live. When you see our emergency responders going the extra mile to help and encourage others, please take a cellphone photo and send the information to news@WGNSradio.com.
