(MURFREESBORO)  Smoke could be seen for miles as Murfreesboro Fire and Rescue crews were dispatched around 7:30AM Sunday (2/21/2021) morning to an apartment blaze at 118 E. Kingwood Drive.

When firefighters arrived, smoke was pouring out of building B at Kingwood Apartments. Fire officials reported that all occupants that reside in the building were displaced.

Red Cross was called to the scene and worked with apartment management to ensure that residents displaced by the fire were moved to other apartments.

Thankfully, no injuries were reported.

The Fire Marshal’s Office was called to the scene to conduct a routine investigation.
