(MURFEESBORO)  The sale of Murfreesboro Elecric allegedly has lessened some of the benefits that had been earned by several retirees. This issue came to light in a council meeting last July, and the conversation continues.

City Councilmember Ronnie Martin continues to push to make the retirees whole.

The Pension Committee of the Electric Department Pension Plan will meet at 2:00 o'clock this coming Wednesday afternoon (3/3/2021) in Council Chambers at the Murfreesboro City Hall, 111 West Vine Street.

The meeting is open to the public, and all CDC guidelines are required--including wearing face masks and social distancing.
