Three Women Robbed at Gunpoint Near Mall on Monday Night

Jan 08, 2013 at 02:18 pm by Bryan Barrett

Three women who work at a store in the Stones River Mall were robbed as they were walking to their car after work on Monday night.  The victims described the thug as a stocky built white male wearing a dark hoodie and a scarf partially covering his face.

The robber approached the women and told them to freeze. The man was armed with a small black pistol. Instead of freezing, the three victims panicked and ran. One of the three tripped and fell. The subject stood over her and pointed the gun directly at her face. He grabbed her purse and fled the scene. The victims ran to a nearby restaurant where they called the police.

Police later found the victims’ purse near the scene of the crime. The robber was long gone. No arrests have been made.
