(MURFREESBORO)  When it's time to renew your vehicle's license plate this year, the notice will be a POSTCARD instead of a letter. 

County Clerk Lisa Crowell said, "The Tennessee Department of Revenue changed its renewal notice look in January 2021. A postcard replaced the traditional letters, but reminds motor vehicle registrants of upcoming renewal dates and ways to renew. We just want to remind everyone of the new look,” said Crowell. “Some might mistake it for junk mail and throw it away, and we do not want anyone’s renewal to lapse because of that.”

And remember, we still need to have our vehicle's emission checked before renewing the license tag.
