In Nashville, Youth Services detectives continue to investigate Saturday evening’s especially aggravated kidnapping and aggravated burglary case.

Metro Police say that Jacob Keener is the suspect and the investigation revolves around a 9-year-old victim and at this point, authorities have not located any other victims, but cannot rule out that possibility.

21-Year-old Keener, who lived in an apartment complex in the Murfreesboro Pike/Nashboro area for about 3 months, is accused of entering another family’s apartment through an unlocked patio door, grabbing the 9-year-old by the hand, and taking her outside (the victim and her 4-year-old brother were in the apartment by themselves while their parents went to the store).

A witness reported hearing the victim scream to let her go and seeing Keener with his hands on her waist. The girl broke free and ran back to her apartment. Her mother called police after hearing what had taken place.

As of Tuesday (4/13/21) morning, Keener remains jailed in lieu of $100,000 bond.

Anyone believing that Keener has had other inappropriate contact with children in or around the Middle Tennessee area is asked to contact the Metro Nashville Police Department’s Youth Services Division at 615-862-7417.
