The Murfreesboro City Council will hold a special Joint Meeting with the Murfreesboro Electric Department (MED) Pension Committee at 5:00 p.m., Monday, April 26, 2021, in Council Chambers, at City Hall, (111 W. Vine Street, Murfreesboro, Tenn., 37130).

The Council and Pension Committee will discuss the Pension Plan. 

You may recall that the City of Murfreesboro sold Murfreesboro Electric to Middle Tennessee Electric in June of last year for a price of $245-million. Despite the sale, Murfreesboro continues to oversee the pension of those who retired from the city operated electric department, prior to the sale.
