RCSO Needs Help In Catching I-24 Shooter

(SMYRNA, TN) A man escaped injury when another driver fired two bullets into his car around 5:20 Monday morning (4/20/2021) on Interstate 24. The incident occured near mile marker 72 between I-840 and Almaville Road.

The car pelted by bullets was driven by Juan Parada of Nashville. He who was traveling toward Nashville in the lane closest to the median. He heard the sound of gunshots and noticed his windshield cracked. There were also two bullet holes in the passenger side of his red four-door Mazda 3 (photo above).

BOLO White Compact Sedan

Rutherford County Sheriff's Detective Detective Richard Brinkley said, “The victim described the shooter as driving a white, possibly compact sedan. They unsuccessfully attempted to merge into the same lane. After the attempted merge, it is believed that this person then fired two bullets into the vehicle Mr. Parada was driving. Fortunately, Mr. Parada was not hit by the bullets.”
