(MURFREESBORO)  "Murfreesboro’s historic Oaklands Mansion and Oaklands Park were the host of a most unique experience – a tour of the Arboretum at Oaklands Mansion.

Master Gardener Connor Moss of Oaklands offered guided tours of the grounds of Oaklands Park, a public park adjacent to Oaklands Mansion.

Along the trail were ‘beer stations’ offering samples of craft brews sponsored by Murfreesboro’s Liquid Smoke.

Says Moss, “Oaklands Park is downtown Murfreesboro’s largest natural wetland area and is a rarity for such a densely populated community.  The park provides a fascinating study area for both its wildlife and plant-life, and late April is wonderful time to visit.”

Behind the Mansion supporters appreciated gourmet hotdogs offered by “That's My Dawg” along with live music from the “Home Sweet Home Band”.
