MFR Seeking "Accreditation"

(MURFREESBORO)  Last year Murfreesboro Fire-Rescue received the coveted ISO #1 rating. Chief Mark Foulks tells WGNS that the agency is now working on accreditation by the Center for Public Safety Excellence. 

On the week of May 17th, a peer group will come check the accomplishments of the local fire department and interview its members.

Foulks indicated that this process has been in works for over three-years. He noted . . .

According to the Center's website, CFAI accreditation is a process of agency self-assessment. The Commission on Fire Accreditation International (CFAI) will provide your agency the accreditation model, various accreditation publications and trainings, and access to experienced peer assessors.

Foulks said "accreditation" is very different . . .

Again, the accreditation peer team will be here the week of May 17th to access the works of Murfreesboro Fire-Rescue, and if all goes as planned, Chief Mark Foulks expects to have accreditation by July or August. NewsRadio WGNS will keep you inormed.
