Sat. (May 22, 2021) 10AM-1PM Local author Rebekah Hope invites the public to a book signing at the Linebaugh Public Library (105 W. Vine St.). She will be signing copies of her book Beyond the Brokenness: The Adventurous Heart of an Amish Girl. Rebekah was born and raised by her Amish parents on a farm in Michigan. When she was 17 she ran away, leaving behind everything and everyone she had ever known and moved 100’s of miles away with only a few dollars in her pocket and the clothes on her back with no guarantee of survival. Depression, addiction, and battles with suicide had unknowingly been ruling her life since she was 8 years old. At age 18, Rebekah found herself in a place of mere destruction and brokenness that nearly took her life. Having no place else left to turn, she finally chose to turn to the only one that hadn’t left her from the beginning: Jesus Christ.
