(SMYRNA, TN) The 50th Great Tennessee Air Show flies into the Smyrna/Rutherford County Airport Saturday and Sunday (June 5-6, 2021). Headliners this year will be the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds. Gats will open at 8:30AM and close at 4:30PM.

Masks Required
In compliance with CDC guidelines, The Air Show has taken enhanced health and safety measures for guests, participants, volunteers and staff. MASKS ARE REQUIRED while transiting, getting food, using the restroom or any other activity. Masks are optional when seated and separated from others by at least 6 feet. This is a CASHLESS EVENT, so bring a credit card or pre-paid debit card with you.
Road Closures
Traffic issues are expected Friday through Monday. The Smyrna Police Department has plans in order to make traveling through the area easy.

Sam Ridley Parkway (SR 266) will be closed from Lowry Street (US 41/70S) to G Street
Threet Industrial Rd will be closed from Sam Ridley Parkway to Aviation Parkway
Fitzhugh Drive will be closed from Sam Ridley Parkway to 9th Avenue
Swan Drive will be closed from Fitzhugh Drive to D Street
Nolan Drive will be closed from Sam Ridley Parkway to the Event Center entrance
Greenway Closures

Old Jefferson Pike Trailhead, Sewart Air Base Trailhead, Ninth Avenue Trailhead, the

Lee Victory Recreation Park Closure
June 4: park is closed from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
June 5 and 6: park will not open until 5:00 pm
Lowry Street (US 41/70S)/Sam Ridley Parkway Interchange
Roadway will be open for motorists exiting Lowry Street to travel westbound on Sam Ridley Parkway. For the safety of everyone on the roadway, the shoulders and grassy area of this interchange will not serve as a viewing area; motorists are not permitted to stop in this area and pedestrians are not permitted in this area.
