Representative Bryan Terry, MD (R-Murfreesboro) has partnered with Hywater Strategies to offer SHARE Rutherford, a program designed to share and highlight the voices of Rutherford County in a positive and productive manner.  The community oriented program will include social media outreach, citizens highlights, round table discussions, and updates on topics pertinent to Rutherford County.

The SHARE in SHARE Rutherford stands for safety, health, affordability, recreation, and education.  Those five categories are often the most prevalent concerns for families and businesses when they are looking to locate or relocate.  The program will focus on those areas, but will highlight current affairs relevant to the state and Rutherford County.

Dr. Terry, the state representative for District 48 which includes the eastern half of Murfreesboro and Rutherford County, stated “I’m excited to work with Hywater Strategies on this innovative approach to community outreach.  This is going to be a great way for citizens to interact with their legislator and for us to get information to the community.”

Hywater Strategies is under the guidance of Jami Averwater and Tucker Marcum, both young professionals in Rutherford County with a finger on the pulse of the community.  “Rep. Terry is a community oriented leader and partnering with him on this program will be a great resource for our community.  We are really looking forward to the discussions and input from Rutherford County and sharing that information with everyone,” said Averwater.

“Having worked with Dr. Terry for five years, I know and understand his self governance approach to representation.  Being able to combine an innovative approach to community outreach with a legislator that understands and wants to hear from the community is a rare opportunity that we believe will bring about positive results for the area.  We are excited about the partnership,” stated Marcum.

The first series for SHARE Rutherford focuses on Rutherford County families and includes an article and survey.  You can visit their Facebook page at @SHARERutherford and take the survey or offer opinions.

“We all want safe communities, access to health care and a solid education, as well as live in an affordable environment.  We are looking forward to the feedback from the district and working towards those goals as a community,” concluded Terry.
