CMS Tigers Have "Red Out" For Heart!

Jan 21, 2013 at 02:22 pm by Bryan Barrett

Central Magnet School students are supporting efforts to reduce heart disease. An example was seen at last Friday night's home basketball game.

Students participated in a “RED OUT” to raise funds for the American Heart Association and bring awareness to heart health.

The event was organized by PE teacher Katie McKnight, got students thinking about taking care of their hearts – and the hearts of others - and raised more than $400, to assist the association in its mission of building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.

This is all in preparation for February, which is National Heart Month.
