Growing Barfield Park Adds Land and to Open New Playground this Friday in Murfreesboro

Barfield Park is one of the largest city owned parks in Tennessee with over 430-acres of land that include hiking trails, ballfields and playgrounds. In fact, it is similar to a state park, as opposed to a city park. To put the size of the park into better perspective, it is over half the size of New York’s Central Park.

The additional land is near the Barfield mountain bike trails, which have been open for the past 2-years…



A massive new playground, which was paid for through a special grant from BlueCross BlueSheild, will open in Barfield Park this Friday…



The ribbon cutting to open the new playground in Barfield Park will be this Friday morning at 10.
