(MURFREESBORO) Around 7:56PM Wednesday night (8/25/2021) Murfreesboro Fire Rescue responded to a house fire on Murfree Avenue. 

When the units first arrived, it was learned that a person was inside the structure. They were pulled from the home and treated on-the-scene. They were later taken by RCEMS to the hospital with what are described as serious injuries. 

Also, a firefighter was evaluated at the home after overheating. 

The fire is under investigation by Fire Marshal’s Office investigators.
