UPDATE: Multiple charges were filed against a suspect accused of assaulting his girlfriend, stealing her truck and crashing into three vehicles during a pursuit Saturday in Murfreesboro , said Sheriff Robert Arnold.

 

Paramedics treated one of the drivers for minor injuries.

 

The case began when suspect Landoren Trammer (pic.), 47, allegedly locked girlfriend Tamera Pettitt in the closet of her home at 124 Breeze Drive in Walter Hill. He allegedly injured her. Her 11-year-old son called 911. After the assault, Trammer allegedly stole her truck and wallet.

 

Pettitt was treated for her injuries at Middle Tennessee Medical Center.

Deputy Derrick McCullough spotted the truck at the intersection of Memorial Boulevard and Compton Road and began a pursuit joined by Commander Jacoby O’Gwynn. The pursuit traveled on Memorial Boulevard , behind KFC and Middle Tennessee Christian School , onto Northfield Boulevard , Lascassas Pike and Middle Tennessee Boulevard in front of MTSU. He tossed out a loaded handgun and Pettitt’s wallet during the chase.

 

“He was just driving erratically,” McCullough said. “He disregarded the safety of other citizens.”

 

Tennessee Highway Patrol Trooper Bennie Jennings said Trammer sideswiped a Jeep driven by Jessica Creecy, 26, of Waynesboro , and crashed into the rear of a Saturn driven by Kirsten Mitchell, 21, of Murfreesboro near Murphy Center , then left the scene. Paramedics checked Mitchell but she did not go to the medical center. Trammer then struck the back of a patrol car driven by Deputy Shane Vaughn .

 

Sheriff Arnold said Commander O’Gwynn saw Trammer approaching oncoming traffic and stopped the threat before the driver crashed again.

 

Commander O’Gwynn said he wasn’t going to allow Trammer to strike more cars head-on.

 

“Luckily, no one was seriously injured in the apprehension,” O’Gwynn said.

 

Sgt. Derek Oeser said Interstate Crime Enforcement Deputy Christian Wrather and his K-9, Mary Jane, located the loaded, .357 revolver on Lascassas Pike. Deputies took Trammer into custody. Lt. Chris Haynes transported him to the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center .

 

Cpl. Clark charged Trammer with aggravated assault of Pettitt.

 

McCullough charged Trammer with three counts of aggravated assault with a motor vehicle on drivers Creecy and Mitchell and Deputy Vaughn, reckless endangerment, felony evading arrest and unlawful possession of a handgun.

 

Trooper Jennings charged Trammer with leaving the scene of an injury accident and driving on a revoked driver’s license.

 

Trammer was previously charged with domestic assault in 2011 and felony evading arrest in a motor vehicle in 2009.

 

Sgt. Derek Oeser said Interstate Crime Enforcement Deputy Christian Wrather and his K-9, Mary Jane, located the loaded, .357 revolver on Lascassas Pike.

 

Hearings are pending for Trammer in General Sessions Court.
