(MURFREESBORO) Friday Night Live did it's swan song of the season with an overflow crowd on the historic square, along with a gentle breeze and temps around 70.
This was the first time for GOOD ROCKING TONIGHT to entertain at the popular Main Street event.
The place was hop'n as the group did a 1950's Rock and Rockabilly Tribute that featured professional Nashville musicians who perform the most influential songs in Rock and Roll history.
The dowtown square reverbrated with favorites from Elvis, Buddy Holly, Little Richard, Chuck Berry, the Everly Brothers, Jerry Lee Lewis, Eddie Cochran, Roy Orbison and more with excited energy and musical accuracy. Good Rockin Tonight also recently recorded a live album at the legendary Sam Phillip's Sun Records studio in Memphis.
Main Street's Executive Director Sarah Callender said that she was especially thankful for Wilson Bank and Trust, the participating sponsor for the entire season. In addition, the 2021 monthly sponsors included: T-Mobile, Michael Busey State Farm, and Middle Tennessee State University.
Don't forget the Saturday marketplace from now through October 30, 2021 from 8:00AM until noon around the historic courthouse on the square. It features more than 50 food vendors offering fresh vegetables, homemade cakes and pies, beef, pork, and chicken, farm-fresh eggs, newly cut flowers, jams and jellies, and so much more.
Main Street Murfreesboro works to maintain, enhance, and promote the historic downtown as the heart of our community. For more information, visit their website https://mainstreetmurfreesboro.org/
