Saint Marks United Methodist Church in Murfreesboro is headed to Louisiana today (Tuesday, 9/14/21) to help those impacted by Hurricane Ida.

Paul Givens told WGNS news that volunteers from Murfreesboro will be clearing debris from homes and to aid in that, crews will be carrying chainsaws…


The destruction caused by the hurricane wreaked havoc on multiple areas destroying homes and businesses.

Sadly, a theft occured in Murfresboro prior to volunteers leaving to help the the hurricane impacted area. That theft meant that the volunteers from Saint Marks will be traveling to Louisiana with fewer tools than they had originally planned to take…

Givens told WGNS that eight chainsaws were stolen, but that won’t prevent the crew from Saint Marks making the trek to the Gulf...
