Smyrna Assistant Football Coach Passes Away

Smyrna assistant football coach Garry Mooney has passed away after a short illness.

The school's athletic site reports Mooney was in his 2nd year at Smyrna and taught history at the school.

He is survived by his wife Deborah, daughter Sarah Elizabeth and sons Micah and Peyton.

Please remember the Mooney and Smyrna football family in your thoughts and prayers.
