Oct 20, 2021 at 07:15 am by WGNS

Reports indicate about one in eight U.S. women will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of their lifetime. By the end of 2021, close to 300,000 new breast cancer diagnoses are expected to be made, according to the American Cancer Society.

The good news is that breast cancer treatment has evolved over the years and is significantly better today, when compared to breast cancer treatment in the 1980’s or 90’s. Dr. Lindsay Keith with Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford told WGNS…

In honor of Breast Cancer awareness month, Ascension Saint Thomas will be hosting a free informative virtual seminar on Tuesday, October 26th from 5:30pm-6:30pm with breast surgeons Dr. Eduardo Dias, Dr. Lisa Bellin, and Dr. Robin Williams, and radiologist Dr. Weston Langdon.

During this virtual event, a panel of experts will answer questions and discuss breast cancer related programs available at Saint Thomas, health screenings, and other ways to support your breast health.
