(La Vergne, TN)  On Friday 12/3/2021) a fortunate pup was rescued by a team of firefighters from La Vergne's stations 41 and 43. 

The Akita pup was trapped in a 15-inch underground storm drain, and they had to dig down to the pipe and pull the dog to safety. 

For those who are not familiar with the Akita dog, it is a double-coated breed from ancient Japan. The line is famous for courage and loyalty.
