(MURFREESBORO)  On Thursday (12/16/2021) TrustPoint Hospital expanded its levels of care with a new partial hospitalization program. The local facility at 1009 N. Thompson Lane is known for its behavioral health treatment center.

The partial hospitalization program is a concept offering an outpatient level of care to adults age 18 and older, who benefit from a structured treatment model while still residing at home or another residence when not in therapy.

Program sessions, which consist primarily of group therapies, are offered 9:00AM – 3:00PM five days per week.

TrustPoint Hospital’s CEO Beth Goodner said, “We’re very excited to introduce this valuable level of care to our already expansive programming. Partial hospitalization offers a structure that promotes healing while allowing for a level of independence that ensures a smooth transition to lasting wellness.”

TrustPoint’s partial hospitalization program serves adults who are struggling with mental health concerns such as bipolar disorder, anxiety, and depression. Patients can enter the facility directly, after completing the treatment center’s intensive outpatient program, or after stepping down from a higher level of care.

The hospitalization program features evidence-based methods such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and motivational interviewing. The program utilizes the transtheoretical model, providing strategies to guide people toward positive behavioral changes.

In addition to inpatient and outpatient psychiatric and substance use disorder services for adults, seniors, and adolescents, TrustPoint Hospital offers a variety of medical services, such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech and language therapy.
