More Details on Potential Land Swap Between the City of Murfreesboro and Electric Provider

Land that is currently owned by Middle Tennessee Electric on Veterans Parkway will likely become a new city park, if the City of Murfreesboro moves forward with a land swap.

The utility provider originally planned to use the land to build a new corporate office on, but property owned by Murfreesboro at Veterans Parkway and I-840 looks to be better suited for a future Middle Tennessee Electric headquarters office – which is why the land swap has gained momentum.

The land could be used by the city for more than a stand-alone park…

Again, if the land swap is officially approved by both the utility provider and the City of Murfreesboro, then Middle Tennessee Electric will use the city land to build a new headquarters office on and the city will use the land owned by MTE as park property. The city could also use the land to build a future school and library on. Previous News Story on Land Swap HERE
