Murfreesboro Detectives need assistance identifying a man wanted for questioning in a theft from a motor vehicle/fraudulent use of a credit/debit card case.

The unknown man in the case apparently broke into the victims vehicle as she was shopping at the Kroger store on Memorial Boulevard. When she returned to her car, she quickly discovered that her rear passenger side window had been broken out. Her purse, which was left inside the car, was missing.

The victim canceled her credit and debit cards, but unfortunately she canceled them just a matter of minutes too late, because the thief had already started his shopping expedition. Luckily, the shopping spree was short lived and the only purchases that were made took place inside the same Kroger store the victim had just left.

Photos were obtained by police, but they were of poor quality. However, detectives are still hoping that someone recognizes the man by the clothing he was wearing - a gray Adidas sweatshirt, gray sweatpants and a gray hat with an orange bill.

If you can help detectives identify this man, contact MPD Detective Ray Daniel at 629-201-5612.
