Murfreesboro Police Vehicle involved in Monday Evening Accident

An accident involving a Murfreesboro Police SUV occurred on Monday night, just before 8.

Public Information Officer Larry Flowers told WGNS News, “Two MPD officers were checked out by medics and are okay after being T-boned by another driver.”

The wreck happened on Joe B. Jackson Parkway at Elam Farm Road near the I-24 interchange.

As for the other driver in the accident, they were checked by paramedics and not deemed to be seriously injured.

There were no hospital transfers by ambulance in the Monday night mishap.

As routine when an auto accident involves a Murfreesboro patrol unit, the investigation into the collision is headed by the Tennessee Highway Patrol. No further details have been released at this point.
