Rutherford County Schools opening 2-hours late today (Friday)

All Rutherford County Schools will be opening 2-hours late on Friday,  February 25, 2022. The delay is due to flooding throughout the area. This delay means that school busses will also be running 2-hours behind their normal schedule. 

County Schools Spokesperson James Evans told parents,  "Last night, there remained 21 places in the county where roads were closed, and we received additional rain overnight."

Again,  all Rutherford County Schools will be delayed in opening on Friday by 2-hours, due to flooding throughout the area.

Evans continued,  "We want to give all drivers more daylight to be able to see road conditions, and so we will be on a two-hour delay this morning for all school start times and bus stops. Again, all Rutherford County schools and bus stop times will be on a two-hour delay today, Friday, Feb. 25, 2022."

Murfreesboro City Schools On Time:

In the City Limits of Murfreesboro, the City Schools will be opening ON TIME Friday morning, Feb. 25, 2022. 

According to the  Murfreesboro City Schools Office, "After consulting with the Murfreesboro Police Department and Street department, Murfreesboro City Schools are running at regular bell times today, February 25. Roads inside the city limits are clear."

Again, only Rutherford County Schools will be opening 2-hours late on Friday morning (02/25/22).
