Rockvale High School has announced Brian Guthrie as the next head football coach. He succeeds Rick Rice, who left to take over the Summertown program. Guthrie will become the second football coach in program history. The Rockets made the playoffs last year in only their third year. They finished the season 7-4 last year with a 23-21 loss at Shelbyville. Guthrie has been an assistant coach on the Rockvale staff and is a longtime area football coach.
