The District 7-Triple-A semifinals proved to be very competitive over the weekend. The top ranked Riverdale
girls had no problem with Smyrna, 74-59, to move into the championship game Monday night. Tyisha Petty led Riverdale with 20 points. Tiffany Lewis added 15.

The Blackman boys remained undefeated and outscored the Oakland Patriots 20-to-7 in the third quarter
enroute to a 69-57 win. They will play in their second consecutive district championship game Tuesday night.

A battle of state ranked teams in the third semifinal game pitted the number four Lady Blaze of Blackman

against eighth-ranked Oakland. Two late game three-pointers by Amanda Pollock sealed the 38-33 win for
Blackman. It was a defensive battle by both teams.

La Vergne boys led Siegel most of the final game Saturday night. But the Stars closed the game on a 14-to-
one run to pull ahead when it counted. Siegel beat the Wolverines 66-55 and advance to the championship
game.
