Blackman & Oakland Boys Win on Final Night of 7AAA Tournament

Blackman remains undefeated and captured their second straight tournament title with a 73-58 win over Siegel. Darius Thompson led Blackman with 18 points. Justin Coleman chipped in 13. The Stars were led by Charles Clark, who had 23. The Blaze are 26-and-oh on the year and are number one in the state. Siegel, ranked sixth in the last poll, falls to 25-and-4.

The only upset of the tournament occurred in the consolation game, as Oakland outlasted La Vergne 65-49. The fourth-seeded Patriots shot 51-percent for the game and the Wolverines, the tournament's third seed, committed 18 turnovers. Emmanuel Smith and Donte Lippert scored 18 apiece for Oakland. Delorean Sparks led La Vergne with 13.
