Rutherford County Historian Greg Tucker

SEGMENT #2 Rutherford County Historian Greg Tucker's was our guest in segment two, and he told about his new book A Rutherford Black Sheep. This is the story of the colorful and unorthodox World War II fighting group headed by Pappy Boyington. A Rutherford County connection to the Black Sheep Squadron was with First Lieutenant Burney L Tucker, Jr., Greg's dad. The book is loaded with a large number of outstanding photos that made the adventures come alive. It's available at Country Gourmet, Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce, and at the old one-room Ransom School (717 N. Academy St.)--the official office for the Rutherford County Historical Society.
