Middle Tennessee Electric’s Customers Care has donated $3,000 of its Operation Round Up funds to Heart of Tennessee Wings.
“This donation will help us buy two defibrillator units and training equipment for potential emergency situations,” Heart of Tennessee Chapter Director of the International Gold Wing Road Rider’s Association (GWRRA) Ed Grazier said. “You hope you never have to use this equipment, but it’s good to know you have it.”
The Heart of Tennessee Wings local chapter GWRRA is a not-for-profit organization who works with its members to foster safe, enjoyable riding while also working to improve the public image of motorcycling.
Since 2003 more than $6 million of Operation Round Up funds have been distributed into MTEMC’s communities.
Incoming contributions are tracked by county so the Customers Care Board can do its best to ensure money contributed by members in a certain county goes to that county. Any balances are carried over each month.
