As hundreds from the community gathered to remember Rutherford County historian Frank Caperton Monday, a fitting way to remember him was unveiled. Pettus Read, the president of the Rutherford County Historicial Society, was among the speakers at Caperton's celebration of life. He said the board voted to upgrade the research room at Ransom School and create the "Frank Caperton Media and Research Room." Read said it was something Frank had wanted and was striving to put together before his untimely passing.

With the help of Frank's friends and family, the local historical society will be putting together his vision. If you'd like to contribute, you can make a tax-deductable donation to the Rutherford County Historical Society. Please be sure to note the donation is for the Frank Caperton Media and Research Room.
